תערוכת ביכורים זו של האמן הצעיר יואב ברנר (1986) נובעת מהתייחסותו לאמנות עכשווית ולבחינת מושגים של "חיים-ומוות". מושגים אלו נבחנים באמצעות ייצור דגם של צורות בסיסיות, חלקי משפטים, ופלטת צבעים פסטלית, קלילה וסטרילית.
הציורים נוצרים משימוש של הטבעת צבע שמן, הנדחס למזרק רפואי, מוטבע החוצה על הבד ומייצר צורת עיגול, בצבעים שונים דפוס העיגולים חוזר ונשנה כדגם במרחקים מחושבים, המעוררים בנו הצופים את הצורך לחפש את העיגול החריג, ואת הסטייה שמחוץ לרצף , וכן את הצורך לאתר את הצורה והקונספט המתקבל מסך רצף העיגולים בקומפוזיציה.

לצד ציורים אלו המורכבים מפלטת צבעים בהירה, מוצגים אובייקטים וציורים נוספים המכילים מילים טעונות: המילה "Don't" הכתובה בצבע אדום על כסא ממוסמר במסמרים, שאינו מאפשר את הישיבה. על אובייקט נוסף, חלק של תריס, מוצגים קטעי משפטים, דוגמת: "Successful Birth", ובציור אחר מוצגת גולגולת ועל מצחה מתנוססת הקריאה: Love me"".
לדברי ברנר: "העבודות עוסקות במתמטיקה בסיסית והשוואה אנושית". מקבץ העבודות, כהמואז' מובהק לאמן העכשווי דמיאן הירסט, לציור העיגולים הצבעונים הנודע ולגולגולת היהלומים המפורסמת – הקרויה בשם For the Love of God”".

This first Exhibition by the new and promising artist, Yoav Brener (1986), is derived from his relation to contemporary art and reflects his examination of "Life & Death" concepts. These concepts are examined via model creation of basic shapes, fragments of sentences and a light, pastel color palette.

The paintings are created by oil paint impressing that is being compressed to a medical syringe, impressed out on to the fabric, thus making a circle shape in different colors. The circle pattern is a recurrent pattern, in calculated gaps, which arouse the spectator's need to search for the abnormal circle, the deviation from the sequence, as well as the need to locate the shape and the concept that's received from the total of circles in the composition.
Alongside these paintings, which are composed of a light color palette, we present additional paintings and objects that contain charged words: the word "Don't" is written in red in a nailed chair that does not allow sitting. On a different object there is a part of a shutter as well as fragments of sentences, such as "Successful Birth". In another painting a skull is being portrayed with the calling out : "Love me".

According to Brener: "the works are about basic math and human comparison". This body of work is a clear homage to the contemporary artist, Damien Hirst, and to his well known colored circles painting, as well as to his diamond skull painting, also knows by the title - "for the Love of God".
