Nadine con Paisl is a French artist, a resident of Paris, moving in her life between Tel Aviv and Paris, creating in both cities out of the same inner search passion, in both languages ... exploring the world, among other things, through preoccupation with the body, its exterior and interior.
In previous years, Nadine has created body prints: she has applied paint and ink to parts of her body and imprinted them on sheets of paper and canvas in a kind of one-time, one-of-a-kind documentation. The prints were created from the direct contact between a creative body that documents itself as a one-time momentary work on paper or canvas - a direct dialogue between the artist and her physical being.
Nadine also used casual materials, such as wooden boards dropped from roofs and old cardboard boxes, as well as dealing with a ?traditional? creation of canvas from brush and paint.
The corona closures ground Nadine and bound her to the space of the house. The availability of the various materials was questioned.
A home encounter with the family health booklet led Nadine to pull out of the booklet, in her curiosity, the family members' x-rays: square, black film sheets, containing negative images of body parts taken with X -rays as part of medical examination processes.
The emulsion of the film leaves is susceptible to scratches that can be caused by the tip of a knife, screwdriver, nail or crochet hook, and these have become tools for drawing in white on the black film. The registration corresponds freely with the exact medical image, creating a sense of liberation from limitations. On the film page you can also paint with various marker colors ... all of which led Nadine to a special and different work, which increased her curiosity on a timeline, and made her an obsessive collector of X-rays as the basis for her work.
Here we have added the copying capabilities of our CRUSE device, which create much larger files relative to the original size, with an accurate and wide color gamut. The image is translated into a positive image, creating a whole world of details, shades and configurations that form the basis for the leap to a computer generated work CGI (comuter generated image) . Collages from basic specifications of several negatives are put together on a computer, creating new stories, completely detached from the original film page, but connected to it as a glorious family lineage ...
As a creator and curator I had a unique experience during the joint journey with Nadine. We shared ideas, listened to the engines of the heart and emotion and told stories while building the image into its essence as a final work.
Thanks to the special experience are sent here to Nadine, a special artist who chose to help us, and grew up while fulfilling her dreams.
