Yitzhak Bashevis Singer wrote at the time in the New York Times in 1978:
" I do not invent figures because the one who sits on high has already invented millions"
Such are the characters of the artist Dorit Zinman: real, uninvented, close, and real and mostly just hers.
The viewer in her works gets a sense of the bride, human warmth, gentleness and compassion.
The mother's enveloping and embracing contact mediates between the baby and the world, and is the foundation of the emotional substrate that Dorit wants to convey.
The viewer wants to be within the scene he has built, to get into the painting and be a part of it.
Her works are full of emotions and details, and she uses the technique of blurring, as a kind of cloud, ambiguity and shadows, which reinforces in the viewer a sense of womb, of primacy and a dreamy experience.
Dorit assembles the characters and disassembles them, duplicating them and connecting them to the environment in which they operate. It creates a kind of new and changing different world. The doubling of the characters creates kinetics and a kind of rhythm of film and movement.
Dorit Zinman's artistic world is a world of riddle and discovery.
The world of the woman in Zinman's work is a couple for a family, couples and children, and is similar to the creative process, which is a process of infinite procreation.

Dorit, an architect by profession, turned to painting after years of debating her vocation.
She studied at the Institute of Art Stones (1981-85) and in recent years is all about art.
In "Avni" she discovered the world of paint, and especially the world of oil paints, and she says: "I was addicted to paint. Oil paints allow me to paint expressively - even though I paint in a figurative / realistic style, realism does not really concern me, but becomes a means to express Myself and my feelings and my essence. "
Zinman paints her inner world, simple and accessible, human figures surrounding her and her life. Complete identification with the cartoonist.
Leisure moments, spending time with the family, mother and baby, childhood experiences, all these and more - are endless inspiration for imaginary stories, in which we become part of an experience, as a kind of observers who build personal scripts, projected on the same scene. Games of lighting, light and shadow, compassion and warmth, all of these and more become material in the creative hand in order to build a sense of tension of a quiet and charged occurrence that is supposedly perceived at random.
