TANDU TANDU
Two artists share the Tendo exhibition that will open on 1.4.22 at the "On the Lake" gallery in Raanana Park. Kochav Yitzhaki Bar-El is involved in architecture and interior design, a shift for ancient buildings in Jaffa, a mosaic artist, textiles and the Art Quilt . Exhibits "pieces" of mosaic works and assemblages from a collection of embroideries from around the world.
And photographer Ron Elishar, presents "Reflection", photographs of reflections from around the world. Engaged in medicine and research in the field of AG diseases, and holds the rank of professor in the Faculty of Medicine of the Hebrew University and Hadassah.
Kochav Yitzhaki Bar-El has been involved in textile art for years, and when she met mosaic works in Istanbul, Turkey, she was captivated by the magic of building something whole from small pieces, a kind of puzzle that she creates and also assembles in its entirety.
Corona's days challenged her, and she began to create assemblages of embroidery works, with each of the works she spent days and nights. The colorfulness captured her heart and lifted her mood. The connections were all made by hand.
The exhibition features embroidery, embroidery and unique and expressive mosaic works, depicting situations, events, life stories, experiences, landscapes, descriptions of place and people. The works, as if painted with paint and a brush, are full of human warmth and artistic sensitivity. A star manages to inspire emotion and life in the stones. With a strong feeling that this is the right and proper place.
Ron Elishar is an amateur photographer by definition. He says that they will not be caught without a camera, whether it is the camera of the smartphone and whether it is a professional camera. He says he feels "naked" when he does not have a camera to record the moments he experiences, both in everyday life and on trips or other activities. He is constantly looking for the unique things and moments and he is in a hurry to capture them in photography. To his sense, what was not documented, as if it did not exist.
The theme of the current exhibition is reflections. He looks for reflections everywhere: in the water, in the windows of houses, in shop windows, in the windows of cars. Aside from the colorfulness, he loves the sense of distortion of reality, the illusion, and according to him, even the hallucination (false spectacle, daydreaming), which is obtained in the picture. He bothers to point out that he does not use Photoshop software, except for image enhancement purposes (contrast, sharpness, etc.), and everything that appears in his photos is what was photographed in reality .
