Rothschild Art Gallery is proud to present a solo exhibition by photographer Osnat Ben Dov.
After 13 years of activity in which painting exhibitions were displayed in the gallery, he wondered if this was the first photography exhibition. And not for nothing, we chose photographs by Osnat who maintains a dialogue with the world of classic and contemporary painting, which is usually displayed in the gallery.

Ben Dov deals with her immediate environment and through it investigates bodies that hold a meeting and composition between them.
Multiple hours and long days of long observation of objects in natural light, and from working with a camera - which allows to preserve the moment, she realized that no two seconds our world looks the same. Accepting that light produces life and reality, she began to follow its transformation.
The name of the exhibition is taken from Al-'Azali's final teachings, as translated by Prof. Sarah Saviri and so appropriate to the works on display.
"The heart is like a pool, knowledge is like water, and the five senses are like rivers. There is information flow to the heart through rivers senses and by observing the things revealed to the heart filled with knowledge; and sugars the rivers flow to the heart by solitude, celibacy and looked down; so turn Purify the depths of the heart and remove from it layers of screens, until the springs of knowledge emerge from it. "

Ben Dov graduated from the Department of Photography at Hadassah College in Jerusalem, 1994, and studied art at the Ramat Hasharon College of Art, 1991. She has exhibited in Paris, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Ein Hod. Her photographs and video works are in private collections in Israel and around the world.
