In his new solo exhibition, 100% , Noam Ventura presents paintings from recent years. The definition of the time of creation - 'from the last years' - is deceptive in this case, since Ventura works openly and the process of drawing a work may take several years. The surface of the painting brings together different pictorial tactics, layers and visual inventions that are somehow in conflict with each other. In this way, the exhibition as a whole is formulated as a series of open-ended questions on familiar topics - landscapes, still lifes, paintings based on family photographs and paintings of specific buildings that the artist documents and paints in Kabri, his kibbutz. Above all work hovers the same inner question of the painter, which becomes with the help of the painting itself an external and overt question, and it is 'When does a painting end ?.' In this sense, the current exhibition invites the viewer to see 'art' not only through the paintings displayed in it, but through the question of time, which it becomes tangible.
