The Tel Aviv Crafts and Design Biennale, 2020 / Eretz Israel Museum

For the first time at the Museum, the Tel Aviv Biennale of Arts and Design. The Biennale presents an up-to-date snapshot of the various fields of arts and design, with an emphasis on ceramics, glass, goldsmithing, textiles and paper. The Biennale will be a natural continuation of the museum's many years of work on its collections in the fields of local material culture.

The Biennale is displayed throughout the museum and contains hundreds of works from different fields, combined with each other, based on the tension between past, present and future; Between ancient and handcrafted crafts and the use of advanced technologies and digital tools; Between the traditional and the experimental; Between the one-time, the conceptual and the artistic and the industrial, the purposeful and the functional.
