"Inspiration takes shape" An exhibition that will open at the Gina International Na?ve Art Gallery in March is the first of its kind with the Bezalel Department of Ceramics and Glass, a ceramic response by participants to artwork in the na?ve, academic and anti-establishment genre.

Next month, Gina will open a first exhibition of its kind, which is the result of collaboration between the Department of Ceramics and Glass at Bezalel and the gallery.

As part of a large tool course hosted by Jacranda Currie, students were asked to come to Gina Gallery and select a painting that spoke to their hearts and created a ceramic response.

The first meeting with the gallery was held in Bezalel, where the gallery director came from an Israeli kind and gave a lecture on definitions and characteristics of the na?ve genre. This lecture is an exceptional event in its importance to the gallery, as the na?ve genre became known as an anti-establishment and academic genre, so presenting it to an audience studying art academically is a precedent and, of course, comes to emphasize the tension created by the encounter between na?ve and self-taught artists who are free Right "to artists who spend many years studying a thorough and in-depth study of the art on its various faces.

The students' second encounter with the na?ve art was held in the gallery. At this session, the students were able to get a closer look at the wide collection presented there and ask the gallery owner, Dan Chill questions about how to start his personal collection and the various artists selected for the gallery collection after his personal acquaintance with them and their work. In this session, the students chose one painting that drew them to work as a response to it and from which they thought they could be inspired. After the selection, they were given a photo so they could get to know him thoroughly and return to him as much as they wanted.

Throughout the semester, each student personally worked and interpreted the work she inspired, working with the artist's style, laying out his color, declining detail and building the unique composition for each of the artists personally. Students learned how to approach another artist's work and borrow elements from it, or give it a new and personal interpretation. They learned how two-dimensional work can be transferred to a volume tool, and how the absolute freedom of na?ve art can work with the discipline and knowledge involved in making ceramic vessels. Throughout the semester, students also learned how to work with a gallery and how to prepare for the exhibition - something that the gallery staff hopes will serve them for many years in their career.

The results of this fascinating process can be seen in "Inspiration takes shape"; The exhibition will show the 15 students the results of their ceramic work alongside the painting, which inspired them to create them. Alongside these paintings, additional paintings by the same artist will be presented, whose style and scope will give the viewer a broader picture of his work. The encounter between ceramic material and two-dimensional painting, between academic and auto didactic, as well as freshness and freshness of students in their professional career and artists who mostly create For decades he created an artistic event that, apart from being an impressive and exciting visual experience, is also an intriguing, engaging and instructive artistic event.
