Site-specific exhibition, which relates to the location of the gallery where the exhibition is being displayed - the museum's collection gallery, located opposite the memorial room of Yad Labanim in Petach Tikvah. Seleni, an artist who designs and interweaves flowers, creates an installation that touches upon the intimate and dual experience of the profession as a guest for a moment in the lives of strangers who wish to celebrate the joys of life, such as weddings and births, alongside hard hours of death and bereavement .
In the installation of fresh flowers, Selene quotes elements from the memorial room, discussing issues such as conservation, temporariness and memory. She creates in the gallery 12 life cycles of seven days each, beginning with a huge bouquet of ablution that stands in the center of the space. The dried flowers from the past week are drier in 12 empty and dated books that are placed in the gallery, functioning as an archive in the making, and as a painful reminder of the path of memorials and monuments in Israel. This action is repeated throughout the 12 weeks of the exhibition.
