Other works in the exhibition (including "The Purple Sea", "Sweet Hills" and "The Blue Planet") also deal with manless landscapes that combine reality and fiction, expressiveness and naivete. Manor describes the places she would like to be, or an environment where her spirit is in the hours of creation. The spirit wandering through the fabrics is the spirit of curiosity, alongside the life of creation without "life." The animals derive from the rich strokes of the colors by means of the knife or the brush. This is a return to painting from the delight of the act of painting in its basic, simplest and most direct form, both for the painter and for the viewer. The combination of the objects described with simplicity and clarity and the strangeness revealed in the assemblage that Manor embroider creates something new, strange and wondrous. Manor (born 1984), holds a master's degree in MFA from the University of Haifa (cum laude), will exhibit new works (2018) alongside previous works borrowed from private collections, the Knesset collection and the UNESCO collection.
