Two exhibitions: Shirley Wagner and Guy On / Rosenfeld Gallery

Rosenfeld Gallery is pleased to announce the solo exhibition of the artist Shirley Wagner, recently returned to Israel after a long stay in New York. The exhibition "a trick" Wagner presents photographs and a sculpture installation combining works from recent years alongside new works.

Wagner's photographs authors agree layers of everyday materials into images of landscapes and dramatic scenes of creation and destruction. These images hold in themselves complex dialogue between the various mediums that function without a certain hierarchy: Painting sets alongside paintings acrylic on canvas, charcoal drawings fabric side values ??placed on the floor of the studio, or backdrops made of biodegradable materials. Reconstruction of Wagner picturesque compresses questions of space, composition and scale into a fan of familiar images, which weave together real and fictional space in which truth and illusion are held alternately.

In this exhibition, along with photographs, Wagner also presents a sculptural installation, 'tractor tracks in the gallery ?, illustrates the encounter between the different mediums and ensemble echoing the photographic space of her work.

Shirley Wagner was born in Tel Aviv and lived many years in New York until her return to Israel in 2016. She graduated from the Art College in 1994, and in 2002 completed her MFA program at Yale University in the United States. Has presented her work in the United States, Europe and Israel. Wagner introduced, among other things Aiislif Museum of Art, New York, Van Gogh Museum, Germany, Tel Aviv Museum, Haifa Museum of Art, Gallery Farida Kadot, Paris and slug Gallery, New York. Her work is included in museum and private collections, including the collection of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Museum Collection Gogh, Germany, the art collection of the city Monsngladbc, Germany, and -The Susman Family Art Foundation, California, USA? B. Since 2014, Wagner teaches graduate studies program at the University of Art Sbbrokooil Long Island, New York, and recently began teaching photography interdisciplinary art department at Shenkar.
