The choice of working with white characterizes the practiceof a number of prominent artists in the USA, Europe, and Israel, in the second half of the twentieth century. It is familiar in contemporary art and design as well. Between the abstract and the figurative, the rationalistic and the emotional, the local and the universal, the concrete and the metaphysical - this exhibition looks at works in which whiteness is a dominant fundamental element.
