Judaica artist, Avi Nadav, third generation of a family of artists / Avi Nadav "Generations of Artists"Judaica artist, Avi Nadav, third generation of a family of artists Avi Nadav, a graduate of the Bezalel Art School in Jerusalem, comes from a family of artists. In his workshop Avi has been crafting for many years artifacts in silver in the meticulous traditional style, but recently he started creating a new and modern line of Judaica items, cutlery and jewelry in colorful aluminum. Avi is always ready to work on special projects in which the client is an active participant in the process of styling. Among his clients are several Jewish Communities in the US for which he created unique vessels for the local Synagogues. For the recently opened Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Jerusalem he fashioned the Mezuzoth affixed in the guest-rooms. When working in silver in the traditional manner, many of the items are hand-made, whereas in the new collection in aluminum much thought has been invested in innovative engineering and styling. Many of the items can be used for more that one purpose, for instance, the Hanukka lamp can be transformed into Shabbat candlesticks, a Havdala cup can be assembled as a Lego game. Avi invests much thought and creativity in each item so that it becomes great pleasure and fun using it.
