“My paintings are rich in color and movement, some stormy and expressive, while others peaceful and lyrical. Painting fulfills my existential need to express myself and my feelings when words aren’t enough. My painting process begins from a place of freedom and “not knowing”. It becomes filled with my emotions, moving through the colors, textures, stains and lines until it materializes into a finished painting” - Orly Shalem

Orly is a graduate of the Graphic Design department in Hadassa College, and is a self taught artist. She lives and works in Nili. Her artworks have been exhibited in multiple galleries in Israel and the United States.
